Hi, I’m Marjan

I am a yoga instructor, certified Wellness Coach, wife, mother of three, eternal student, and passionate lover of life! I love to learn, laugh, explore and strive to be thoroughly engaged in every aspect of my life.

Yoga is a way of life.
It is a journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance.
It is the gateway to living our highest purpose and offering our authentic gifts to the world.
~Marjan (she/her)

My passion is to weave yoga, wellness and ritual practices in an approachable way that integrate into everyday life and inspire more conscious living.

Through inner exploration, self-embrace, learning and unlearning, claiming and reclaiming, we can rise and transform: individually and collectively.

My approach has evolved from over thousands of hours of trainings and courses, certifications in different styles of yoga with different teachers, extensive study in health and wellness, priestess school and most recently in social justice.

I have been on this journey of seeking deeper connection to mind, body, heart and soul
for more than 20 years and am deeply devoted to the practices and studies of
yoga and wellness.

I teach Rasa Yoga—an innovative style of yoga that weaves intelligent alignment and creative vinyasa flow in a soulful fusion of asana, mantra, mudra, pranayama, meditation, Tantric philosophy, and ritual.

It is the integration of all of these practices that allow me to live more consciously,
more courageously, more skillfully, and more authentically in this world.

I would be truly honored to have you join me on this journey. Together we can deeply inquire, passionately grow and fully embrace our wholeness through the practices of yoga, wellness and lifestyle.

My Story

I am a seeker, mother of three, international yoga teacher, wellness coach, eternal student, and passionate lover of life.

I love to learn, laugh, explore and strive to be thoroughly engaged in every aspect of my life.  From a very young age, I’ve had an innate curiosity and inquisitive nature that has always inspired me to explore, experience, grow and transform.

I started practicing yoga over 25 years ago.  At the time I did not know much about the deeper significance of it all, but I felt intuitively drawn to the practices and could sense things shifting from deep within.

I have completed thousands of hours of teacher trainings…

in Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, Anusara and Rasa Yoga. I also graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition where I studied with some of the leading wellness experts in the world. In 2019 I finished a year-long journey in the way of the Priestess through the Ritual Priestess School.

I teach yoga internationally…

From the US to Mexico, Brazil to Panama and now back in Mexico City, I teach public and private yoga classes, Rasa Yoga Teacher Trainings, retreats and corporate wellness workshops.

After an eleven-year career in Advertising Art Production…

I embarked on a life outside of the United States to be with the love of my life. It was at this point that I really turned to yoga as a healing practice to cope with the challenges and fear of integrating into different cultures and countries. In the process, we had three children and life became a series of unknowns. It was the practices of yoga that helped me stay deeply connected to myself as I worked through the constant changes and uncertainty in the midst of so many new experiences. Although I had been practicing yoga for years, it was at this time that I realized the practices were about self-discovery, connection and taking refuge in my own mind, body and heart. I began to pour myself into the studies, and haven’t stopped studying ever since.

 Gratitude

I want to honor and thank my many teachers over the years. I have had the great fortune of studying with some of the most skillful and authentic teachers: Micheline Berry, Greta Hill, Sianna Sherman, Noah Maze, Rocky Herron, Sreedevi Bringi and Michelle Cassandra Johnson. I am very grateful to have spent the last few years apprenticing Sianna Sherman, the founder and visionary of Rasa Yoga. I want to also honor the lineages and roots of yoga, all of the teachers in this tradition and India for all of the grace and wisdom from this land.
